The waters rich in vegetation and protected by the Marine Reserves make Formentera an appreciated destination by lovers of diving excursions.

Formentera is a very green island, appreciated not only by sea lovers but also by hiking enthusiasts. There are actually 19 green trails, to explore on foot or by bicycle, to discover the hinterland of the island. Among the many trails, there is also one that follows the traces of an ancient Roman road. The natural landscape consists of dunes, pine forests and Mediterranean vegetation, and it is important to know that many areas are considered protected areas.

Characteristic of the Formentera area are also the remarkable white mills, lime-covered and wooden blades.

The main center of the island is San Francisco Xavier, located about three kilometers from the port area. Here is the most famous square in Formentera - the town hall - and a nice shopping area. Crossing San Francisco Xavier, you meet San Ferran, a renowned tourist destination. Another tourist attraction is Es Pujols, where you can find a wide selection of restaurants, bars, discos and nightclubs.

The quietest town is La Mola, which owes  part of its tranquility to the discreet distance that separates it from the most central towns (it is located almost 20 kilometers from the Marina of Formentera) and to the hilly position; but that on the other hand, can offer you magnificent views.
