Description

The Club Náutic La Rápita is located in the southern part of the island of Majorca, just a few miles from the Club Nàutico S'Estanyol.

The port has 476 berths. Each single station is equipped with a column for electricity supply and a source of drinking water. Guests can also take advantage of showers, toilets and changing rooms, as well as a laundry service. The club has a boat repair workshop with a crane that can lift up to 7 tons boats and a travelift that can seat up to 50 tons. The storage area also offers hull cleaning and maintenance services and it is at disposal for both club members and external sailors.

In addition, the club has systems for the collection of dark waters, exhausted oils, and a separate collection area for solid waste. The Club Náutic La Rápita can accommodate vessels ranging from a minimum length of 4 meters and a maximum length of 20 meters, with a maximum width of 8 meters and a draft which does not go beyond 3 meters.

The area also has a fuel station, open Monday to Sunday (8am to 8pm during the summer months and from 8am to 6pm during the winter).

The winds that matter most to the area are those coming from the south and south-east.

The Club offers sailing courses at all levels (intended for children, teens and adults) and is the setting for numerous nautical events, races and regattas throughout the year long. This harbor is slightly outside the urban area of Sa Rápita, where you can find bars, restaurants and hotels.

The Club Náutic La Rápita is bordered to the east by the S'Arenal de Sa Rápita beach. It is a fine sandy beach and crystal clear water, a little over a kilometer long. It is a particularly appreciated beach because of its pristine aspect: a large pinewood, which protects it and sheltered it from the surrounding urban agglomeration, surrounds it.

It is also accessible to people with motor disabilities.

The beach is easily reached by land with bus lines (the stops are within walking distance of the port area and the beach). The customers who land on these shores can make use of toilets, showers and the possibility of renting beach equipment (umbrellas, deckchairs).

At about one mile from The Club Náutic La Rápita there is also the Ses Covets area, home of rich and fascinating beaches. This area abundant in caves (from which it takes its name), has an important rocky elevation, that over time, was used as a quarry for the extraction of the stone that served to fortify Palma de Mallorca. Its surroundings are famous for water with health-giving powers (already known in Roman times) and for its thermal spas. Ses Covets is part of an area of natural interest.

Another beach is the Es Freu de Ses Covetes, about 50 meters long and has clear and fine sand. It is a big beach with always a fine sand. There is  a bus stop about 100 meters away (which makes it easily accessible from the mainland) and a number of free parking areas where you can leave your car.

The important beach of Ses Covetes is 300 meters long and is divided into two parts: the closest one to Sa Rápita has clear and fine sand, while the second part is more rocky. The beach is also accessible to people with reduced motor skills and offers its customers baths, showers and a restaurant.

The Club Náutic The Rápita welcomes costumers in its area furnshing a bar and a mini market
