Description

Situated at the heart of Siracusa, on the Ionian southern Sicily's coast, the Marina Yachting stretches inside Porto Grande, near the channel which separates Ortigia Island from the rest of the territory.

Equipped with floating jetties and anchorage equipment, the marina can host 180 boats from 6 to 15 metres in length.

Largely exposed to north-east and sirocco winds, the Marina Yachting is characterized by muddy 5-metre sea bottoms shaped by the Anapo river.

The only danger is represented by a shoal named "Secca Galera" situated south of the entrance channel.

The marina offers a wide range of yachting services, such as: water, eletricity, Wi-Fi, surveillance, weather forecast, rental boats and cars.

The Marina Yachting represents a strategic place and an excellent point of departure to visit the charming city of Siracusa and the rich Ortigia Island.

The sea, of course, is an important reality for the territory. More specifically, Porto Grande, where the Marina Yachting is positioned, is considered to be one among the oldest ports in Sicily.

The main tourist attractions of the city, all easy-to-reach from the marina, are Maniace Castle, the Cathedral, Apollo's Temple and the Fountain of Arethusa.

The city hosts the oldest regatta of the Mediterranean, that is the international Siracusa-Malta regatta organized by Lega Navale Italiana in collaboration with Royal Malta Yacht Club.
