Alghero - Tourist ports of Sardinia

Situated below the walls of the namesake city in Sardinia, the port of Alghero can host boats up to 70 metres in length.

The port facility is protected by two 850-metre docks:

  • The new outer breakwater: hosting the so-called Molo Lo Frasso and Molo Nord (northern dock)

  • The southern dock

In the north-eastern part of the port, between the inner breakwater and Millelire quay, raises the Nuova Darsena (new dry dock) reserved for fishing boats, equipped with floating piers. There, sea bottoms are about 2 metres deep.

The tourist area of the port, consisting of a series of floating jetties specifically reserved for recreational boats, is located between Garibaldi Quay and the Northern Dock.

Two additional quays are reserved for commercial ships and transiting vessels (up to 50 metres in length) and are located in the southern area of the port.

The Port of Alghero is situated in a strategic interesting position just few miles away from the most beautiful tourist destinations of the Mediterranean.

Alghero is a city that still preserves the typical soul of coastal towns, where it is pleasant to walk and enjoy the salty scent of the sea in a net of narrow lanes. The port of the city is a very nice place where big modern yachts are docked alongside small picturesque fishing boats.
