Description

The port of Lido of Meina is a small and medium-sized marina. Lido di Meina is one among the most popular and appreciated facilities of Lake Maggiore which attracts crowds of Italian and foreign tourists every year. It is situated just few kilometres from Milano Laghi motorway and other road links leading to Turin.

The lido is a swimming area and it is characterized by crystal-blue waters generally considered the cleanest ones in the Verbano area or even in the whole Low Lake.

Inside the Lido, surrounded by wonderful villas, visitors can enjoy some sporting recreational spaces, a tennis court and an open artificial grass 5-a-side pitch in addition to two swimming pools ( a covered one and one with low water), new equipment for the sailing course and a wonderful club house featuring some terraces which directly overlook the lake.

The area, where many sporting ans recreational activities are organized, is very green and well-preserved.

Piers in the marina are made up of floating quays which offer both fixed and temporary berths. Berths are currently 40 but some restoration and enlargement projects are under evaluation in order to extend the maximum capacity of the port up to 140 berths.

The easy access to the port and the wide spaces for manoeuvres allows an easy circulation inside the marina even for big boats. The sandy-and-muddy sea bottom is very deep.

Yachtsmen are provided with drinkable water, toilets, a car park and a motor park. Electric charging columns and a bilge water collection system are, however, absent.

Piers are not in perfect conditions. Nevertheless, some renovation projects involving both the port and the surrounding area have been recently put forward.

Both motorboats and dinghies can enter the port.
