Description
Club Nàutic Llafranc was founded on 30 April 1963, having its base on the beach of Llafranc. Over time, it was deemed necessary to build a port to improve the structure and services. It became a reality in 1970, the year of its inauguration. In its beginnings, many motorboat and water skiing competitions were organized, sports that with the growth of tourism and the expansion of anchor buoys in our inlets were in decline, taking more momentum than sailing. The Santa Rosa regattas, held every year at the end of August, are the oldest of our coast, since they have been organized continuously since the year the club was founded. Other important activities include four sailing championships European (1975 class Finn and 2012, 2013, 2016 class free 5.00), a championship of underwater photography in Spain (2005), three championships in Spain motorboat (1965, 1966 and 1968) and three sailing championships of Catalonia (class FINN of 1975 and 1988 and LASER class of 1990).
