Dock Services

Port du Cap d’Agde is located on the Golf of the Lion Coast (Mediterranean France), in the municipality of Cap d'Adge, in the department of Hérault.

It's the main harbour of Cap d'Adge. The other harbour is Port Ambonne, with 300 mooring places.

Port du Cap d'Adge is one of the largest marinas in France and Europa. It's made up of 10 docks in a 35-hectare-area.

Mooring places are almost 3100 in total, for boats with a maximum length of 27 metres and a draught within 3 metres.

Some special areas are reserved for multihull vessels.

The entrance of the harbour is just in front of Fort de Brescou island, which can make it very crowded, especially in summer.

Anchorage is forbidden in the whole harbour area and in front of it.

The harbour is well-sheltered from winds but south-western winds can make difficult the entrance into the harbour channel. The marina offers drinkable water and electric charging columns.

Toilets and showers are located in different points of the structure. Piers are protected through an electronic safety system. At night, the harbour is also under surveillance.

The harbour is also equipped with a waste collection area.

The Port Authority produces weather bulletins every day.

The yard has two travelifts, respectively with a maximum range of 50 and 16 tons, two wet docks, a towing basin, a multihull boats trailer, two mobile cranes with a maximum range og 2 tons and two maintenance areas.

The yachting club of Cap d'Adge organises sailing and boating courses, while some local associations organise races, fishing competions, scuba diving excursions and jet-ski trips.

In the middle of the harbour, there are some restaurants, a residence, an amusement park, a night club and a casino.

The area all around Port de Cap d'Adge hosts several restaurants, pizzerias, coffee bars and supermarkets, in addition to some popular beaches.

On the right of the harbour entrance, there is Plage de Richelieu. More than one kilometre long, it hosts lot of seaside resorts, where you can rent beach equipments (beach umbrellas, sunbeds) and enjoy water sports. The beach is also equipped with two wheelchair entrances, toilets, showers and surveillance service (in summer).

On the left of the harbour there is La Plagette, a nice sandy beach, close to the harbour and the city centre but rather quiet. It is particularly appreciated by scuba divers for the presence of a submarine path. The beach is equipped with parking lots and some restaurants.

Not far from Port de Cap d'Adge, there is Plage de la Grande Conque du Cap d'Adge, one of the most charming beaches of the region. It's a volcanic black-sand beach.

Although it is near the city centre, it preserves its calmness even in summer.
