Description
Situated inside a well-sheltered bay not far from Trieste, Venice and the coasts of Croatia, Portopiccolo Sistiana is a marina managed by Portopiccolo Yacht Club which offers a great plurality of modern advanced services and facilities, included a boat rental service. Moreover, the marina often hosts some important international boat races and gatherings, in addition to special events where visitors can see upcoming boats in advance and test them. The Yacht Club is also an exclusive gathering point always available for conventions, meetings and conferences.
The marina includes a large private beach euipped with beach cabins, umbrellas and beds in front of a very clean body of water. Guests can even enjoy a spa, three swimming pools, a restaurant, a wide underground car park with reserved lots for both the partners of the Club and external visitors. A Wireless Internet connection covers the whole structure, while the roof garden of the restaurant is the ideal place for a drink.
The marina is under a 24-hour surveillance and it is surrounded by the beautiful village of Portopiccolo Sistina, one among the most enchanting places near the Adriatic Sea. The village is perched between Miramare Castle and Duino Castle from which you can easily reach both Trieste and Venice, two wonderful Italian cities with lots of things to visit. In addition to the clean charming sea, the hinterland, too, is rich of art and culture and it represents a worldwide destination for all the visitors loving ancient art and architecture.
Venice needs no introduction while Trieste was the birthplace of Umberto Saba and Italo Svevo and the adpoted city of the Irish poet James Joyce for a long time. Reaching Venice by boat is an unforgettable experience. Portopiccolo is about 140 km far from Venice and the cruise to the city goes through Lignano Sabbiadoro and Lido di Iesolo.
On the opposite side of Venice, there's Croatia and the whole area is a protected WWF marine reserve. The internal architecture of Portopiccolo is almost fairy, with rocks overlooking the sea and dominated by Miramare Castle, situated on the Kras plateau entirely covered by the Mediterranean forest.
