Description
When you relax on your boat after a good day of sailing, you can reflect on the ups and downs of the day, or you can go back in time and wonder how your marina was created. John Dean and Richard Reddyhoff have been busy building marinas for years. Through Dean and Dyball Ltd, they started with Shamrock Quay in Southampton in 1980, did a lot in the Ocean Village in Southampton, built a holiday resort in Hythe in 1985, in the New Forest, built two marinas in Plymouth and a large shipyard in along the Dart River. They founded Dean & Reddyhoff Ltd and opened Haslar in 1993, then built Weymouth Marina, rebuilt East Cowes Marina and, in 2008, they started to build Portland Marina, which went back to the Olympic Games in 2012. The funny thing is to get big, noisy cars to dig mud or build huge breakwater barriers, but first you have to do boring things, like getting planning permits, ordering legal agreements, borrowing money from bankers and paying for them. Loans on time: all reached as expected, we have the original froc packages to prove it. Right inside the port of Portsmouth, we are perfectly positioned for historic ships, modern stores, open waters and the Isle of Wight.
