Description
Ports in Croatia in the Gulf of Sibenik
The city of Šibenik (Sabenico) is located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, Dalmatia region, in a natural harbor connected to the sea by a canal of 2 .7 km long and about 120-300 meters wide. It permits navigating to ships over 50 tons at the mouth of the river Krka. A karstic river and one of the most beautiful in Croatia, with an average depth of 30 meters.
Access to the harbor takes place through the San Antonio canal, where ships must be given priority (they must keep starboard).
The old Port of St. Nicholas at the North Coast protects the entrance to the infrastructure. There are docks for mooring, in Secenica and Capljena, while San Petar's lane south of the city is forbidden.
Along the quay that runs along the old town of Sibenik, is the mooring with buoys with 40 berths equipped with rings and water and electricity services. The bottom depth is 4 meters.
Within the port, they are often moored mega yachts.
From here, there are also sailing boats to the National Park of Krka.
