Marina Cervar Porat  

The jagged coastline of Croatia offers a myriad of marinas and creeks where the nautical lovers can find landing and refreshment: Marina Cervar Porat (marina del porto Cervera) is one of these. Located in the tourist village of Červar-Porat (Porto Cervera), 6 km north of the town of Poreč (Parenzo), the Marina Cervar Porat harbor extends south-east of the Cervara creek, lost in a sea reflecting the green of lush vegetation of olive groves and coniferous woods that surround Červar Porat.

The beach in Červar-Porat is 1.5 kilometers long and is approx. 500 meters from the center of the village. Protected by winds, though often subject to the incursions of the Maestrale and the Tramontana, Marina Cervar Porat remains open all the year round. In addition to water moorings, it offers 50 moorings inland for yachts from 3 to 13 mt.

Ervar Porat is a tourist center suitable for various types of tourists: families, young people and lovers of sport and nature.

What kind of welcome is Cervar-Porat reserving for its tourists? In addition to a beautiful marine equipped for nautical lovers, there are also restaurants, taverns and clubs where you can enjoy Istrian specialties.

Tourist information: Poreč (Parenzo) is the main tourist center and can be reached by bike paths starting from the marina of Červar-Porat. Among the gastronomic specialties of this region there is: Istrian ham, sausages, olives, asparagus, pasta, pancakes and famous Istrian wines of excellent quality.

Poreč is a small town that offers culture and entertainment to its tourists, as well as the clean beaches of Croatia crossed by coves and numerous islands on the west coast of Istria.

The largest of the islands of Poreč is St.Nikola where you can visit the historic round tower: built in 1402 and that remains one of the oldest lights in the Adriatic Sea. Among the natural beauties, we remember the Limche canal which extends inwards as a fjord for approx 12 km and is considered one of the most beautiful natural resources of the Istrian peninsula.

In the historic center of Poreč, you can admire the signs of Roman urban architecture: the road map retains the rectangular structure typical of the Roman castrum, although the most famous monument of the city remains the Euphrasian Basilica, included  by UNESCO among the aristocratic mansions of humanity.

If you visit Poreč at the end of April or early May, you can attend the show for wine and oenological equipment at Vinistra International Exhibition.
