Description
One among the largest port facilities in Côte d'Azur, situated just behind the city of Menton and next to the border with Italy, the port of Menton Garavan frames the Bay of Garavan.
It has a capacity of 770 berths for any type of boat (up to 40 metres in length), 144 of which are specifically reserved for transiting vessels. The port of Menton Garavan provides yachtsmen with a wide range of services, such as a filling station on the quay (open from 8.00 to 20.00 in summer), a shipyard, shipchandlers and many stores.
It's a smaller version of the more popular and prestigious Monte Carlo harbour.
The shipyard is harmoniously integrated with both the buildings of the port facility and the general tourist background of the city which includes the French coastline and the lighthouse of the old town.
Once a lookout post and a historical point of arrival, the orange-brick castle of Monton is currently a pure historic attraction.
The port offers all yachtsmen Internet Wi-Fi connection, security service, weather reports in addition to the possibility of renting service crew.
