Description
Located south-east of Punta Sant'Ambroggio, inside a housing complex, the marina of Sant'Ambroggio can receive 200 boats up to 22 metres and it offers water, electricity, a gast station, a shopping centre, a yachting club, a 25-ton crane and a slipway.
The marina offers a good shelter but, in case of north and north-east winds, the access might be dangerous and hard. Moreover, entering the harbour is not recommended at night since dock lights mix together with the city's ones. After entering the marina, yachtsmen must approach the gas station and wait for Port Authotity's instructions.
2.5 km far from the marina, there's Punta Spano, particularly surrounded by some dangerous rocks and islets. It' s the starting point of a path which leads to Plage de l'Arinella and the Genoese tower.
Sant'Ambroggio is located in th region of Balagne, halway between Calvi and Ile Rousse. The coastal area is rich of Mediterranean vegetation, wonderful cliffs and white-sand beaches. The woderful landscape is ideal to enjoy a walking tour or a riding excursion through breath-taking paths plunged into the vegetation.
The region also hosts many festivals and events. The typical products are "niellaghja", olive oil and St Anthony's biscuits.
