Description

The harbour of Macinaggio, whose name comes back from the presence of many windmills in the area, is the most important harbour of Cap Corse. It's linked to the eastern edge of Cap Corse, a peninsula located in the north-eastern part of Corsica. The harbour of Macinaggio raises inside an anchorage port offering a good shelter from west (like mistral), south and east winds (like sirocco)

The harbour is not only a marina but also an important reference point for fishermen. The structure has 585 mooring places, 180 of which are exclusively reserved for transiting boats.

The entrance is located on the northern side of the harbour and it is 35 metres wide, with 3.4-metre-deep sea bottoms. Entering the harbour is rather easy, unless strong east winds blow.

The harbour provide yachtsmen with 6 toilets, 15 showers, a phone booth, a car park, a laundry, an ice shop and many supermarkets, bars and restaurants in the surroundings.

The quays are all illuminated and equipped with drinkable water and electric charging columns. Yachtsmen can enjoy a waste collection and a boat washing service.

The harbour is under 24h/24 surveillance.

Weather bulletins are produced evey day, twice a day. You can also visit Meteoconsult website or dowload the free Météo Marine application on your smartphone.

The gas station is open all the year. In summer, it is open from 07h00 to 21h00, while in all the other seasons, from 8h00 to 12h00 and from 14h00 to 17h00.

The harbour offers the following services, too: electric and electronic repairs, wooden, fiberglass or steel boats repairs and sails repairs. There is also a 45-ton slipway, an outdoor boat storage area and a 2-ton crane.
