Description

Situated along the southernmost coasts of Campania, that of Marina di Casalvelino is one among the ports available in the Cilento Coast.

The structure consists of an inner breakwater and a three-arm-outer breakwater, each equipped with a quay and signaled by flashing lights (red for the inner breakwater, green for the other one).

The final part of the external dock is reserved for transiting boats, while the inner part of the port hosts seven floating piers run by a private society.

The dock of the inner breakwater is, on the contrary, reserved for fishing boats, exceptfrom a part of the quay which can exclusively receive the boats of the Port Authority.

The marina offers some services, such as showers, a laundry and boat rental while the surroudings offer many restaurants, coffee bars, shops, supermarkets, hotels and camping sites.

Marina di Casalvelino is close to that of Acciaroli but it is quieter and less crowded than it in summer. Situated near the beautiful Pioppi Beach (in the municipality of Acciaroli), it is an ideal starting point to visit the wonderful grottos of Capo Paniluro and the numerous bay and coves around Marina di Camerota.

The surroundings offers some beautiful sandy, free or equipped, accessible beaches.

You can finally rent a car to explore the interesting hinterland and the ancient excavations of Velia, in addition to Cilento National Park and its famous Diano's Wall.

If you love trekking and hiking, Cilento offers many interesting stone buildings and small picturesque villages plunged in a wonderful natural background.

Marina di Casalvelino is the ideal port for anyone looking for the charming beauty of Cilento without renouncing calmness.
