Description
Ports of Campania - Gulf of Naples
Composed by an inner dock and an outer one, the port of Castellammare di Stabia is one among the most crowded and equipped harbours of Campania, with a whole body of water of 420,000 square metres. The port generally receives cargo, fishing and tourist boats.
It is the third among the largest harbours in Campania, after Salerno and Naples, and it offers some yards for technical assistance, repairs and maintenance interventions on big boats.
Commercial port, maritime transport and fishing area
The largest area of the port is specifically reserved for commercial activities and it consists of two main docks and a long quay.
Another smaller zone, located just in front of the commercial area, is, on the contrary, reserved for maritime transport and represents the starting point of the ferries sailing to Capri and Ischia.
Acqua della Madonna is the northern part of the port, exclusively reseverd for small fishing boats.
