Description

Masuccio Salernitano: ports in Campania

Within the Gulf of Salerno, opposite Piazza della Concordia and in east of the port of Salerno, raises the Masuccio Salernitano marina, also know as "o penniello" since it offers a wonderful sight on the city and the sea.

The port was built in the 60's and it is now composed by an outer 500-metre breakwater and a large quay. The port is also the strarting point for many tourist ferries to Capri, Ischia, Sorrento and Cilento coasts.

Masuccio Salernitano hosts 9 floating piers:

  • 3 on the shore quay run by Lega Nazionale Italiana;
  • 3 on the shore quay near the inner breakwater.;
  • 3 managed by Yachting Club Salernitano.

While approaching the port, please pay attention to the presence of a cliff and the small size of the basin
