Puerto Deportivo Marina Del Cantábrico 

Our Community, the "Community of Owners of Berths and Service Modules of the Marina of the Bay of Biscay", was formally established in 1986, under the then existing Law of Associations, providing full legal personality for all purposes. Although, since July 14, 1981, it really already existed under the name of "Community of Owners of Berths of the Puerto Deportivo-Marina del Cantábrico, S.A.", acting as legal representative Mr. Manuel M. Entrialgo.

Thus, our roots date back to the early 80's and are based on the spontaneous collective movement of the first owners of berths, before the economic-financial crisis of the then concessionaire Marina del Cantábrico, SA, which led to a total abandonment of the Port together with a total lack of management, consistent with the embargo of the first Company holding the Concession and subsequent allocation of the Port in favor of the Mortgage Bank.

In 1987, Banco Hipotecario civilly transmitted the concession to the current concessionaire, Marina de Santander, S.A., which found a port, still not finished with all the forecasts of its project and operating thanks to our Community. This situation prevented to ignore the existence and the rights acquired by the holders of berths acquired from the missing Marina del Cantábrico, S.A., which led to a negotiation whose result was the contract signed on November 27, 1987, between Marina de Santander, S.A. with our Community, making a series of agreements of capital importance.

According to this contract, Marina de Santander, S.A. it recognized the rights of ownership of the berths acquired from Marina del Cantábrico, S.A., and assigned to our Community the management of all the nautical services inherent in the activity of the Port, receiving from it the sum of 65 million pesetas.

Today, our Community continues to manage and provide nautical services with all quality, thanks to the training and professionalism of its staff, supported by material equipment consisting of: two travelift one 70 Tons and another 27 Tons, a truck crane, a pneumatic, two vehicles (a Citroen and a Nissan), hydraulic truck, technically adequate and inspected by regulation.

The community, with its human team, also takes care of the maintenance of the pontoons and fingers. In both cases, and for security reasons, it is protocolizing and deepening in the prevention of occupational risks for its personnel and for the users themselves.
