Puerto De Candas 

The port of Candás has been the object of numerous works, rebuilds and successive extensions, mainly since the 18th century. At the beginning of the 50s, one of the last works undertaken in the Port was carried out, consisting of the extension of the dike and as a consequence of this extension, the currents were changed by drifting a large amount of sand into the port, gradually losing the draft of the Port until reaching its current state. There you can see "two stone boats", which were brought from England when they lost their usefulness at the beginning of the 30s. One of them, named GRETEFORCE, was used as a breakwater and the other the GRATEFARM, became part of the Same pier dock.
