Description

The autonomous community of Galicia is located on the northwest side of Spain, being bordered by Portugal. The name of the province is also known as Galiza and is pronounced in various forms, depending on the area. This province has won the title of a historical nationality and is composed of the provinces of A Coruña, Lugo, Ourense and Pontevedra. Galicia is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the most beautiful areas of the country. The major parts of the landscapes here are picturesque and look rather crude, Celtic compared to the southern side of Spain, which tends to be more exotic. The cliffs are extremely tall and covered with grass and vegetation and the villages are traditional and exhale the Spanish culture for its pores. This region is very old, dating from the Paleolithic Middle. The first inhabitants that could be detected through the archaeological evidence were the Gallaeci.
