Agulla Bay 

The Agulla Bay ( Cala) is located along the northwest coast of Majorca the island, just a few kilometers from the town of Capdepera.

It is a medium-sized bay, very impressive because it is far from the urban agglomeration. Vegetation stains and rocky high ground surround it.

The seabed is sandy type, with stones. The best place to stay at anchor with your boat is in the center of the bay, with a water depth of about five meters. The winds affecting the bay are predominantly from the north, north-east and south-east.  The winds blowing from the south are not particularly trenchant, while in the case of air currents coming from the northern part, boaters must be very careful, because these winds can affect the anchoring safety in the bay.

Cala Agulla beach is located at the extremity of the cove. Its 500 meters long and 50 meters wide make it to be the largest beach in the whole area of Capdepera. The width of the beach can increase or decrease even ten meters, depending on the source of the currents.

It is a fine and clear sandy beach where you can find toilet facilities, showers and where you can rent beach equipment (beach umbrellas, deck chairs). The extent of the beach, the ability to find equipment to rent and the ease of access make this beach a very busy destination in the summer season.

In the neighborhood of Cala Agulla you can find restaurants, shops and hotels. The Government of the Balearic Islands proclaimed this bay, along with the nearby Cala Moltò and Cala Mesquida, in the ‘90s as a Special Interest Area. Cala Agulla is separated from Cala Moltò by a small rock isthmus.

A little further, toward the north, there is another fairly well-deserved cove on the west coast of Ibiza: Capdepera, which is just under two kilometers far from Cala Agulla, while the closest port is the Club Nautic of Cala Ratjada, just under three miles of distance.
