Port Matarò 

Consorzio Mataro is a public consortium built in 1997, the decree 236/197 of 2 September that the formation of the Port Mataro consortium, DOGC 2473 10.09.1997, Catalonia and the municipality of Mataró which aims to discharge and exploitation of the tourist port of Matarò. The consortium is under the administrative dependency of the territorial policy department and public works through the Mobility Secretariat and the Directorate General of the ports. The consortium operates a modern and constantly evolving port in the capital of Maresme, which has 1,080 berths and a commercial area of 7,000,000 square meters. Port de Mataro is responsible for the environmental initiatives, which led him to realize, starting from 2005, asking for the EMAS certificate and the European Blue Flag quality continuously over the years since 1998. Since the consortium Puerto Matarò took over the port of Mataro, the main objective was to provide the city with a first class equipment, which has experienced a continuous growth both in the quality and quantity of services and facilities available to users.
