Bavaria 49

Among the largest models of the German shipyard,Bavaria 49, bow the Bavaria 49 is a real evergreen, available on the market at truly interesting prices.

Ideal for anyone looking for comfort on board and excitement under way, this 100% cruising sailboat is one of the most sought-after models on the second-hand market.

Harmonious and pleasant lines, generous volumes above and below deck and easy handling makes the Bavaria 49 a classic, spacious and exciting cruiser.

If you are therefore thinking of buying a used sailboat that, despite its age, does not have to prove anything in terms of habitability and manoeuvrability, the Bavaria 49 can be the right option for you. Let’s find out together why.

Exteriors

Bavaria 49, exteriorsThe exterior layout does not betray the tradition of the Teutonic brand, re-proposing the classic pattern of the Bavaria-branded sailing yachts: fiberglass hull, wide transom, double wheelhouse, welcoming cockpit with folding table and bimini top, low and very extended deckhouse, comfortable side-decks and mast resting on the deck.

The sail plan is medium-sized, equipped with a large furling genoa.

There are two winches for each halyard, a mainsheet on the deckhouse and two in the cockpit for the standard genoa.

The profile of the boat is particularly sinuous thanks to the high bulwarks that seem to envelop the whole hull, offering wide spaces and good freedom of movement on the lowe deck.

Interiors

The sleeping zone is fitted with fine wood furniture, Bavaria 49, dinettewhich conveys warmth at the very first sight.

The dinette is definitively wide and equipped with all the elements that make conviviality comfortable below deck: a large dining table surrounded by a U-shaped sofa and a single one on the left side, a galley equipped with oven, double sink, double fridge and iceboz, and a comfortable chart table on the starboard side. The brightness is excellent, thanks to the numerous windows in the deckhouse.

The sleeping zone consists of three heads and five spacious cabins with good headroom. The result is a very welcoming and relaxing space, where comfort is the master and the furnishings, classic and prestigious, add a touch of refinement.

In short, time passes but the Bavaria 49 is always one of the most popular models for long-range summer cruises, with family and friends.
