Aicon Yachts unveils the new Aicon 66 and announces partnership with Engel & Völkers
Aicon 66, custom design and luxury
Like a tailor-made suit for special occasions, the new Aicon 66 makes customization her main strength.
Unveiled at 2020 Miami International Boat Show, the new Aicon Yachts model was designed to meet the tastes of the most demanding customers.
” With the new Aicon 66 we are introducing a custom-made product philosophy: when a boat owner decides to spend a significant amount of money, he must be able to choose“, said Marc-Udo Broich, Chairman of Aicon Yachts, the historic Italian shipyard that has written a piece of boating history with its high-end yachts.
Today, with more than 500 yachts sailing in the world, Aicon looks to the future with a new range of yachts designed by Sergio Cutolo, one of the most prestigious designers in the world.
Innovation and productive integration enhance the seaworthiness that has made Aicon yachts famous all over the world.
As mentioned above, Aicon Yachts has an all-Italian heart. The new shipyard, in fact, is based in Sicily. A 100,000-square-foot facility that has all the necessary space and equipment to satisfy the Aicon 360 Vertical Integration production philosophy.
The new Aicon 66 is the emblem of this production philosophy, whose key elements are innovation and in-house production, without having to resort to external processes.
The new Aicon yachts are therefore cutting-edge but preserve the historic excellent performance and seaworthiness that have made Aicon yachts famous all around the world.
“Sailing conditions, especially in the States, are often harsh, so we decided to make the boat much drier – said designer Sergio Cutolo – It’s a functional and aesthetic choice that winks at the market of American fisherman, as is the choice of equipping the 66 with wider surfaces on the main deck, both in the side-decks and in the bow section.
We have also introduced in the 66 what has become a “must-have” optional accessory: the Hard Top on the flybridge”.
Aicon 66: maximum freedom of customization even in the interiors
But the elements that most characterizes the Aicon 66 is the opportunity to customize the interiors to customers’ liking, as designer Giuseppina Arena explained. Something missing in today’s luxury boat market.
“Form follows function, to quote the American father of modernism”, said Giuseppina Arena.
” The objective is to detach ourselves from the usual trends, studying something new and innovative. An other important point is the interaction between indoor and outdoor environments, made so that the two areas are well-connected with each other and, above all, usable”.
In addition to the new Aicon 66, Aicon Yachts also announced an important partnership with Engel & Völkers Yachting (based in Newport Beach, California), as the exclusive representative for Aicon Yachts in the USA.
This way, the Aicon Yachts brand is relaunched under the leadership of Chairman & CEO Marc-Udo Broich and his partner John Vennors.
“ We are thrilled with our partnership with Engel & Völkers”, said Marc -Udo Broich. ” This brand is recognized as the premier global entity in offering first-class service to its clients both in real estate and yachting sector, and together we will set new standards in the yachting world that our clients expect and deserve”.
Clients are assisted from the beginning
The yacht experience begins with trained advisors educating and walking clients through every step of process. “ At Engel & Völkers, providing exceptional personalized experiences to our clients has been at the core of our business for more than 40 years“, said Paul Benson, license parter of Engel & Völkers Yachting. ” Our partnership with Aicon Yachts and shared passion for the yachting culture will result into many exciting opportunities for our clients, now and in the future”.
” We couldn’t be more excited to represent this stunning series of yacht” said Walter Johnson, president of Engel & Vökers Yachting’s Newport Beach location. “We know that many clients will be attracted by the opportunity to fully customize their yachts through Aicon and we look forward to helping them do so”.
In short, with such premises, if you want to sail in total safety and elegance, you know whom to entrust your “tailor-made suit” to.
